
Ever wonder how marshmallows are made? Making your own homemade marshmallows is actually so easy, and once you try them, you’ll never go back to store-bought! Homemade marshmallows not only have a lighter, fluffier texture but also a richer, more authentic flavor. (You can even pick and choose your own flavoring!) If you’ve ever wondered how to make marshmallows from scratch, the process is surprisingly easy, and the results are absolutely delicious. Whether you want to make gourmet marshmallows for s’mores, hot chocolate, or just to enjoy on their own, making them is so much easier than you think and only takes about 2 hours. I will walk you through the simple steps on how to make marshmallows at home with three simple ingredients (+ flavoring). Just a warning, if you bring them to a gathering, you may become the designated marshmallow maker! 🙂
Ingredients:
- 1.25 cup cold water
- 2.5 TBS beef gelatin
- 2 cups sugar
- .5 – 1 TBS vanilla (<- my homemade recipe)
- 1 – 2 TBS of butter
